Is there a catch?
No. You pay a monthly fee, that's it: no commission on jobs, no contract. Founding prices stay locked for 24 months, then move to the list price, and we'll tell you a month before.
Callmate is new. We're looking for the first 25 Cork trades, which is why set-up is free and the price is locked. We won't promise you a number of jobs: the app shows you every week what came in, what you replied to and what you won, so you can judge it yourself.
Does it send messages without me?
Only if you switch it on. The instant "sorry we missed your call" text is off by default: you write it, and if you turn it on in Settings, it goes to callers you miss straight away.
Every other message is drafted for you and waits for your tap, or the time you schedule. Every draft is marked as an AI draft, and every message includes a way for the customer to opt out.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep your number. Calls you don't answer are forwarded so Callmate can catch them, and we set that up with you. Your phone network may charge for forwarded calls; we'll check that with you at set-up.
Will it work with the website or booking app I already use?
Yes. Callmate catches enquiries from your phone, website form and email, wherever they come from. It doesn't replace job-management or booking apps; it saves the enquiries that slip through before they ever become a job.
Is my data safe? Where is it stored?
We plan to host Callmate in the EU. Where a provider we use (for example for text messages or for drafting replies) is outside the EU, we'll list it before launch, with the legal safeguards we use, and you'll get a data processing agreement before your account goes live.
Your customers' details are used only to help you reply. Messages only go to people who contacted you first, about what they asked, and every one includes a way to opt out.

Can I cancel?
Yes. There's no contract: cancel any time with 30 days' notice. You can export your enquiries first.
Who sets it up?
